Tottenham have long been linked with a move for Crystal Palace ace Wilfried Zaha.
Former Tottenham Hotspur maxbet striker Garth Crooks has urged his old club to sign Crystal Palace wing wizard Wilfried Zaha in his BBC Sport Team of the Week column, but reckons he will cost a huge £70million.
The 25-year-old played a crucial part in Palace's excellent 2-1 win over Stoke City on Saturday, pushing Roy Hodgson's side over the magical 40-point mark as they sit pretty in 11th place.
Palace went 1-0 down but goals from James McArthur and Patrick van Aanholt saw the game flip on its head, leaving Stoke rock-bottom of the Premier League and all but relegated.
Crooks named Zaha in his Team of the Week column, alongside attackers Nathan Redmond and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. Linked with Spurs, Crooks believes a move to Tottenham would be good maxbet but also considered Arsenal.
"It's time Wilfried Zaha went to a big club," Crooks said. "He's not going to win anything at Palace. He might at Spurs, and he would at Arsenal. He is coming to terms with his abilities and ready to make the move to another London club.
"I raised this issue with a Palace fan recently who was horrified at the suggestion but wasn't afraid to name his price. Every player has one, and at 25 we agreed Zaha's clock was ticking and £70m should do it."
Making 28 Premier League appearances this season, the former Manchester United attacker has been involved with almost one goal every two matches. The Ivory coast international has scored eight, as well as providing five assists.
Zaha has a contract at Selhurst Park for another four years and it would take a hefty bid from chairman Daniel Levy or indeed the Gunners for Palace to accept a move. maxbet
